Weirdworm started out as a side project of mine while I was working as a web developer. I had always been interested in writing and wanted to create a website that would be a platform for me to share my work. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was determined to learn.
I started Weirdworm in the summer of 2009 and it was originally just a blog. I would post articles on various topics that I was interested in, ranging from pop culture to politics. I quickly realized that I enjoyed writing about pop culture the most, so I began to focus my content in that area.
As my site began to grow, I started to get more involved in the online community of pop culture bloggers. I began to guest post on other sites and collaborate with other writers. This helped me to get my name out there and attract more readers to my site.
